Fish Ladders:

Dams block rivers and store water behind them. In doing so, they block the way for fish who swim upstream to lay eggs. So the engineers have incorporated fish ladders into the design of dams. Fish can then swim up the ladders into the reservoirs and then farther upstream.

Stewardship:

It is our responsibility to take care of the environment benefiting every living thing. Dams help the environment by storing water for the preservation of animal habitats. There are governmental and private organizations that help regulate environmental concerns.
